Killer Heels

I feel that I need to let my feelings out and express my everlasting love for killer heels. My husband has absolutely no interest and can’t fathom my shoe addiction – he just doesn’t understand!
High heels can do so many things. They can make you stand up straight and tall, feeling and appearing more confident and assertive. They can pull your stomach in flatter and shape your calves, transforming your figure. They can give you the walk of a catwalk model or a screen siren. They can complete an outfit and give you the basis for an entire colour scheme. They can lift your mood and make you feel beautiful, powerful, sexy. Ah, the wonder of high heels.
Obviously, stilettos can be impractical in some situations. If you’re on the treadmill at the gym or taking a countryside hike, it’s really advisable to stick with trainers (however ugly they are). I often wear ballet pumps if I’m out shopping or running errands. But in the same way, there are certain occasions where heels are an absolute essential.
First of all, I’ve never been to see a client or performed a strip tease in anything less than 3.5 inches. The past few years have seen higher and higher heels make their way out of the fetish clubs and onto the high street so all women can experience the joy of 5 inch heels with an inch platform – just stunning. YSL and Louboutin created some gorgeous styles, and my wardrobe is so much happier with these additions. The same goes for parties, weddings, night clubs and restaurants. Put those pumps away!
If you have trouble walking in sky high heels, you’re not the only one. You need to make sure that they’re a perfect foot so your heel doesn’t slip out the back. Many shops sell gel soles to protect the ball of your foot from becoming sore, and you can also invest in heel grips if they do come off your heel. If you still have difficulty, choose a heel that has a strap over the front of the ankle – it will give you extra support.
